Indie Book of the Month
This is a relatively new initiative from the Booksellers Association Children's Committee (of which I am a member). It started off as a seasonal award and due to it's popularity has moved to being monthly. A children's book is selected from the many that are published each month. The criteria is that it is excellent, nothing else. It may be from a large established publisher or a small independent publisher; a debut author or one that has many titles published; a board book for toddlers or a young adult title; fiction or factual.
Whatever title is chosen you can guarantee that it will be a great read. Why not try something you may not chosen before using this as your guide.
We are here to show that although indie bookshops may be small, when we work together we can promote fabulous books just as well as larger, more corporate shops!
