Book Bonanza
Our book bonanza is designed to inspire reading for pleasure. Each month or half term we can supply books, wrapped up to create a bit of excitement, for your classes. These will be newly published or perhaps ones that you may not have come across before from smaller publishers. It is a relatively low cost way of introducing new books to school. We can tailor it to your exact needs. We have several schools signed up who are loving it.
"Just wanted to say a very big thank you for the wonderful books you delivered to school. After a 3-hour training session on reading the staff were delighted to receive their parcel at lunchtime."
"Thank you so much for the gift-wrapped books that arrived at school today. I love the clues on the outside. The children (and teachers) are going to be so excited."

"I just wanted to tell you that there is such a book buzz flying around the library this morning. The children have opened the box of books and have enjoyed putting them onto the shelves. It's looking wonderful and we hope it entices more children down to find books they love.
Thank you! Paula"

Hi Nicola,
A massive thank you for the books. What a brilliant selection - such quality and lots were new to us. The teachers were really excited by them so can't imagine what the children will be like when they start school today! We also really appreciate the freebies and the wrapped-up book of the month - even my head was giddy about that. You've made everyone at Mellers very happy!

Jason Beresford - Author, available for workshops.
Jason Beresford, author of the Fabulous Four Fish Fingers recently visited Lindley Junior School for the day. He ran workshops for years 3 & 4 and enthused and inspired the pupils so much they sold out of books and we have had to arrange to get more plus his second book Frozen Fish Fingers.
Teacher Mrs Claire Heath said
"he was a huge success - the children (and staff) absolutely loved him. I would thoroughly recommend him to any schools wanting to get an author in. I think year 3 and 4 were definitely the right age range"
Any schools who are interested can contact the shop and we will put you in touch with Jason.
